Business Systems – Show Notes & More
What an age we live in, the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence and the ways this has impacted our life every day is insane, just ask Siri.
Systems and automation is an area of business that can make or break your business. Have you ever stopped to think about how many processes you have in your business that are repetitive? It’s actually a lot more than what often comes to mind when you first think about it.
3 Things to Do When Implementing Business Systems
1. Document your day. Most people have a routine, write yours down and how long it took, do this for 2 days. It might be as simple as “answered a phone call” “made an appointment” or “bookkeeping”.
2. Identify the top three fee-earning activities you do and what would happen if you had more time to focus on that.
3. Ask yourself “Is this the way things have always been done?” If the answer is yes then I can confidently say there is an automated option out there.
We all know that systems and automation is going to improve productivity, however be aware when implementing as you could hold back progression. Accounting & financial systems are next-level compared to what they used to be 10 years ago. The development in just the past 12 months alone is next-level.
Look at all the systems in your business. Accounting is huge, but there are a tonne of administration processes that, if automated, will save you money, increase productivity and bottom-line increase profits.
